JK2Radient Vs GTK

Whats the diff, i've actually only just started editing with JK2Rad, so can anyone tell me what the major advantages of GTK are. Also, you finish JK2Rad maps in GTK yes??

First off, JK2Radiant is slow to load, and compile your maps. Second, the lighting in GtkRadiant is much better than JK2Radiant. There are a few others (like menu bar options etc), but it is pretty much the same. Oh yeah, when you first launch JK2Radiant and your twitching your thumbs (waiting for it to load) you won't be waiting for GtkRadiant.

If I missed anything, please tell the guy. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

You can make complete maps in both JK2 and Gtk, however, Gtk is:

-Less buggy
-Updated constantly
-Doesn't crash or delete your maps randomly
-And has a compiler so much faster than Jk2's, it's not even funny

I believe Raven soft said they used GtkRadiant for JA

They did, and the modifications will likely be merged with GtkRadiant proper.

Heh, most of Raven's JO mappers used GTK already...

How could they use GTKRadiant for JO when it wasn't even released? TKRad, I mean, wasn't released for them to be able to use it on JO.
DO NOT WANT.

Ehm, they just set the paths. Remember that THEY actually made all the necessary files (such as entities.def). And GTK is very all-round...

It doesn't matter. I used GtkRadiant for JO before official support was added. You could even have added the compiling if you wanted.

No. GTK is better (for me) in EVERY SINGLE WAY. If you can say anything where JK2Rad is better, well, say it.

And then let me prove you wrong.

Find something remotely significant that JK2Radiant can do that GtkRadiant cannot, and I will castrate myself with a rusty jigsaw.

The only reason I ever got jk2radiant to crash was that I myself did something wrong...
