An error in the editor?
2003-10-29, 6:23 AM #1
...or something I did wrong?

I rotated some architecture 45 degrees, and now all the brushes are warped... they no longer fit together, surfaces that were straight now bend at weird angles, etc.

Is this an error in the editor? And if so, how can get around it? (I'm using GtkRadiant 1.3.12)

Don't rotate brushes.
as far as I know there has never been a version of radiant that has been able to rotate brushes and get plesant results.

If you have a simple cube and turn of the snap to grid you can rotate it but ir won't be a perfect sqare anymore but it will be close.

rotating complex sets of beushes is completely out of the question.

sorry

learn to use the clipper.

Either that, or vertex editing.

What the hell... I use the rotate commands ALL the time, and I never had a single problem with it...

well you're lucky.
remember as long as this thing is running on windows it will never be consistent from system to system.

Hmmm... that's unfortunate. Looks like I need to do that architecture over again.

Thanks for the help.
