ok apparantly my topic is going to get closed down because of something to do with capitals i must of missed something in the rules text anyway...

ok i want to make my own SP map for JA but i just need help no matter how i do it, my rooms always end up sqaure and if i dont find out a way to prevent this i am going to freak i know it seems simple to all you professionals out there but please can you help me.

Add brushes, so it looks kinda like this, in example:

First:

After adding:

If you add multiple brushes like this, perhaps in other shapes also, it doesnt look blocky anymore. As well, you can use curves, models, etc, etc..

What GothiX said. Also take a good look at other (levels/threads in showcasefora/real buildings/pictures of real buildings), see what they did to make rooms not look square.

You add them by simply dragging in the 2D window, just like you would make a wall.

Boxy Achi, eh?

I think you need to be in touch with the "brush editing side" of editing. Loose that Hollow tool. Do not think it exists.

Make a brush.

Then edit the textures and vertices (press V). Look at the cylinder menu also.

Create interesting forms with the brushes. Even change the angles of the room. Don't always make it 6 sided.

like echoman said press v to change the shape of the rooms it did help but the only shapes i can make are triangles and the roof can look like the top half of a diamond

can someone help me and tell how to make a circle or something (sorry for bugging im kinda new to mapping i mapped for JO but they were just not good)

Thanks! I came across that but I didn't assume it was the only one. I tried it but it was new and STRANGE! But thanks anyway - I'll learn to use it eventually. I plan to release my first level before December 1st, and plan to make a special package before January 1st. I'll send it to you lol
