I hadn't edited in weeks, and today I finally got into an editing mood again. So I fired up GTK, and loaded my level. And what do we see? It has f***ed up all the alignments for all non standard textures. And the funny thing is, that's 90% off all bloody textures. Thus I'll have to retexture my entire level. Hence my editing mood was swiftly over and I doubt I'll ever finish the level now.

Never again touch the "Use brush primitives" checkbox.

Hmm that might be it, I had been checking out what all those plugins do last time I used GTK, and one said I had to check that box. Well yipee F***ing dooda, they could have at least warned me for that [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

Now what I don't understand is the following.

I checked that box in a completely different map, which I hadn't saved afterwards, and I unchecked the box again after opening a different map.
And the misaligned textures are a phenomena which occurs in ALL my maps, I just noticed.
And it isn't limited to custom textures as I thought and stated in my first post. It's just all textures.
I checked again and indeed brush primitives isn't checked.

So point is GTK borked up all my maps without me having even opened them...

Just having it on while accessing a map can totally screw it up. It shouldn't even be in there.

Yeah, it's a setting in the editor, not the map itself.

Yes, but it was never on when I opened my city map, yet it has the same problems. I had set the brush primitives earlier this week when I was just screwing around in a test map.
And the last time I openend that city level was more than two weeks ago. (it wasn't even in the 5 most recent files in GTK anymore.)
