you have to use -patchshadows in your compile.

use q3map2 toolz and check the checkbox.

Your batch file should have -patchshadows in it. I think you've used a shader with q3map_nolightmap. Try a basic texture, not a shader.

And why on earth would you not have that program.
It's not a neccessity, obviously, but it certanly makes compiling easier.

As does a batch file. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

I'm the batch file fan, .bat in the maps folder, drag and drop a .map file and you're done! Much faster to edit a .bat file as well as long as you know the Q3Map2 commands.

Don't have that program...as in don't have q3map2? You are using GTKRadiant, right? Don't disgust me with JK2Radiant!

"Isn't it funny how the word 'politics' is made up of the words 'poli' meaning 'many' in Latin, and 'tics' as in 'bloodsucking creatures’?"

Contrary to most tutorials, JK2Radiant is terrible.

Well don't just sit there, REPLY!!!

no, I ment don't have q3map2 toolz.
which is easier than useing bat files IMO cause you don't have to to type anything just click some boxes and hit build.

Unless you want to add new switches (like -dirty), which is a pain in the arse. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

If you want to appear Cool and Professional, you use batch files (and at least pretend to know what all the switches in your .bats mean). The other way to look like an expert is to code and design your own graphical UI...

Graphical UI = good coder and making life easier for us,

.bat file = knowing what you're doing and after it's wrote only requiring a drag and drop - far faster than using any UI no matter what.

Also when new features come out in Q3Map2 it's easier to edit a bat file to add them than to try and add them into Q3Map2Toolz.

ok, I agree useing the drag and drop is easy,
but how is it hard to add switches in q3map2toolz?
you've got the command line in the box at the bottom, you just type in what ever you want.

Yeah, but that's about the same you do with a batch file, in which case a batch is more effective since you don't have to type it again every time. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

it's a .line file, you know when you get a leak and you get that red line? The .lin file stores that red line so GTK can load it up.
