I heard alot of guys talking about somekind of alphamod...But WTF is it. Gothicx is using the word alot of times...I see other people use it... WHAT IS IT!!!

Really sweet stuff, I used it t blend the fog with the sky in this testmap.

I'm intrigued by this concept (and btw GothicX, that screenshot is droolworthy), but i've gotta say that i don't speak code, or chat manuscript for that matter. So, if someone could please explain in plain english (or direct me to a tutorial that does), i'd be grateful (sorry for hijacking, need help).

Does it reduce lag? Like if a large area is covered by fog?

Only if you combine it with a foghull.

Forsakahn, basically, you create a brush with a defined alphaMod, and cover the vertices of the brush you want to fade with it. The shaders of those brush surfaces have to have a vertex-defined value tho.
