Need your help lassev? have hidden lighting.

Hey, hoping you could help me: I created a light with an intensity of "1000." Deciding it was too bright I tried to change it to a lower intestiy. no change, I can even delete this light, check that there is not even one light entity and still have a light source of 1000? Its like its generated globally? I've even tried using negetive light to counteract, no luck.

Any ideas?

well do you first -bsp compile... then -bsp
-fast -light...
If ya hit N, and see the check boxes, those correct your problem. Toy around with them. And when ya go to compile, maybe ya hit -bsp fullvis by mistake..

Like SilentSavur said, it's most likely a compile issue. Make sure you use such a compile that has the lighting stage.

Other ways to get poor realistic lighting is to enter ambient key in the wordspawn. A high _minlight value also eats all shadows away, but this is not probably your problem.

If you have errors in your map, it might also disrupt your complie resulting in no lighting (no lighting - full bright lighting, not total darkness).

Heh heh, I'm quite baffled why you should be calling me; My expertise is biased towards ICARUS scripting. I guess I might be a little better than indifferent mapper, but there are a lot better mappers than me around here.

Personally, I do not like help threads that reach out to only one editor. I try not to answer them.

But you couldn't fight the temptation, and failed [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]
