HI EVERYONE!

I'm new here on Massassi...

I would like to learn how to create, insert and use 3D objects in Jedi Outcast. I have little experience in creating 3D objects in GMax, but in any other way i'm completely blank...

If one of u guys would take time to explain to me how to do, wich programs i'll need and so on - or show me somekinda guide, it would be awsome.
I know it must be boring to teach someone this "lesson" from the beginning, but if someone would take the time - eventually using MSN, AOL or Skype - it would be cool...

In advantage - Thanks!

well you can talk to me on msn if u want. gregknowsitall@hotmail.com

But do u want to make games (correct term is maps)? or by 3d objects do you mean models?

you wont need gmax i dont think unless models require it tho. i dont know about models tho. anyway. be more specific...

I would like to learn both to create maps and models, but i'll have to start somewhere - I think i would be smart to start with the lessest complicated part - don't know wich part of it, it is...

You could use the game's models by using the entity "misc_model." The select many of the models in map_objects folder.

I don't know if you want to know that. :/

I see you are like 6 timezones away from me. To talk it will have to be morning/noon for me and like 2 PM to 6/8 PM.

Tutorials here
And here

You can use gmax to make models. just get the q3 game pack thingy from discreet, then you can make your md3 and put it in game.
However, q3map2 suports a number of differnt file types other than md3. I don't believe gmax has exporters for any of the others but getting Milkshape will solve that.
