Is it possible to compile a level in black and white?
2004-07-27, 11:47 AM #1
Is it possible to compile a level without colors (except black and white?) Does this take extensive coding and programing? (or an option I missed)

Well you could always use a photo program to change shaders/textures to black and white lol.

I know there was a compile that did this, I faintly remember hearing Blood_Asp talking about it once. I'll ask around for you.

Well, that's my first idea. But is there a shorter way?

plus, if you did convert all the shaders and textures to grayscale, that would up the file size... majorly (sp)

It's when you reply to a thread to make it go back to the top of the list.

Bump = replying to the thread to keep it at the top of the forum list so that it still gets attention. Because most people don't go beyond the first page of threads.

JM did a black and white level, but if I recall, he acheived that by using all grayscaled textures.

I think Ydnar could answer this kind of question very easily, should you post it at some other site and forum. I guess Gothix is no longer checking these editing forums (after quiting editing), or he would have give some answer.

It indeed seems he's out for good, like some other fine mappers I have had the privilege to know. He appeared pretty determined about it, when I conversed with him over MSN.

Well, it's not proper for me to discuss his plans here.

It's just not right. He's the one who introduced me to mapping. After all those hours on MSN, mabey even hundreds. He taught me everything I know about it. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif] He'll be missed. Missed more than you guys will ever know...
