If I have a fog in my map, could a player get rid of it using cvar setting in JA thus giving him a small advantage in sight?

Well, if it comforts you, I can write some BS here but the fact is I have no idea. I don't have JA. In JO client side code, I can't see any cvar that would directly disable fog. (You can make items "simple" and disable some effects like dust trails to get more FPS, but not turn off shadows/fog.) But that's JO. And it's hard to say what kind of effects turning down graphics details in general might have, or what kind of stuff players can disable on hardware level (with the tweaker tool for their 3D card).

Might be cg_, don't remember exactly. And if you use a foghull where the maximum draw distance is equal to the point the fog fades out (or, like, 5 map units more), the player won't have much of an adavntage, but'll be rather disturbed by all the HOM [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]
