I have entered the map-review JA editing competition and please vote for one of the following types of maps to make.

Try something that hasn't been done a million times before.

If you can't create your own decisions and can't use your imagination, I fear you won't get far in editing.....

I did use my own imagination but im stuck between these maps. Ive got a small plan set up in my mind for each one of those map styles but since ur content on being a jerk...

I'd have to agree with them. Come up with something original, or don't bother.

On a sidenote, it's not WHAT you make, it's HOW WELL you implement it. If you choose to make the 8907045th space station, fine with me, but you won't score high for originality. Having a consistant style, and original gameplay ingredients, however, really does up your chance of ending high in the MR FFA contest ranking.

If my memory serves me well, Xizor has the runs on the board in that department - lets just be constructive.

For instance, here's my suggestion - how about a ladder map? We always need more of those

I don't much like snowy places. They are so uniformly white, offering little choice of colours and room for texturing imagination. Sith temples are done to death - you would think the Sith did nothing but build temples based on the amount of Sith temple maps. Imperial bases are of course very common, but on the other hand you might want to try some very specialized imperial base: Research base or something like that. And outdoor map may be the hardest of all maps, if you want it to be extraordinary enough to earn much attention.

It's a hard choice. I'm not sure what that particular imperial base is you have in your poll, but I hope it's very specialized, not your every day imperial base, and vote for it.

is it going to be a single player map???

He said it's for the Map-Review contest. Now, get out of your cave, and notice all the news posts at JA-related sites posting about a "Map-Review Free For All contest".

If you can do something NOT Starwars related, I'd suggest a Final Fantasy style train station, or maybe a McDonald's playplace level.

Uhhm...Kirby, the contest rules are that you need to make a map that fits in the star wars saga, like echobase or something, or a place, completely homemade, that seems to fit in the star wars saga

Make a McDonald's playplace at a star wars cantina.

(Yeah, every once in a while I pop in this forum to see what's going on :))
