I have some problems with shaderEd and the .fx file editor, so i was wondering. Does somebody know where to find the newest versions of these programs?

I don't think there are many version of the Editing tools released at all. It's just the one packet, as far as I know. JA MP Editing tool.

The JA MP editing tool? Were the old JK2 packets re-released?

JO and JA have a different packet of tools. You aren't supposed to use JO tools for JA editing or JA tools for JO editing. And I'm not talking about GtkRadiant but the Raven tools.

I didn't spot JA tools here at Massassi file database, but PCGM has them:

Yeah, but not really for effects. I have edited a couple of effects with Notepad, but it was just changed sounds or something, and I knew precisely what I was doing. But otherwise I can't imagine anybody making new effects only with Notepad. But of course my imagination has been proven to be limited.

And I still claim ShaderEd is good for previewing rgbGen wave parametres.

Well. Maybe you are right Gothix, but i dont know anything about shader editing, alphamodes etc. So, ill stick to the tools :D
