Hi!! Ben a wille:D
Whell i got a problem :( i downloaded a mod for JA called "Survival Mod 2: Revenge Of The Droids" but when i runn it the level juzt stops loading and gives me something like this :

It could be a corrupted file (or texture?) or something.

Try taking all other .pk3s out of your base folder.

Maybe the file got corrupted. Try downloading again.

Edit: Well, due to Echoman's speed, my role was reduced to barely echoing his words...

Well according to the error message, the person who created the mod hasnt used a jped or tga texture. Look in the PK3 and try to find a texture that is not a jpg or tga.

Im probably wrong though.

Yes, you are wrong. Don't take the error message too literally. In situations like this you have to keep in mind thousands of people have already played this level no problem. And I very much doubt anybody would even release a mod that didn't launch because of a wrong file format... :rolleyes:

whell i took the tex. folder out of the pk3. but it makes no diferens. i allso tested the pk3. with win-rar it sais it's ok. HELP!!!:( ;(

Yey!! It works!! :D There was something with my JA base folder. I reinstaled the game and now it works.

Well, the mod maker cannot take responsibility for arbitrary custom addons that random players might have in their base folder. That's why the first thing, if a level doesn't work, is to remove any non Raven pk3s from the base folder. Works surprisingly often. And likewise surprisingly often people don't try it but assume there's something wrong with the level they want to play.
