The tutorial isn't helping... in fact it seems to make things harder... and I'm getting really pissed right now. I've been sitting here for about an hour trying to figure this our and I can't seem to... I've searched for tutorials on curved stairs for all the other games GTK can make maps for to no avail... I can't seem to figure this out.

can anyone help me... I've read and re-read the tutorial about 100 times now and it still isn't making any frakking sense.

I also seem to be having trouble with fog... I can get it there, however it leaves a black shadowy thing where I clipped the brush to make the pieces... I can give a screenshot if that helps.

In the tutorial it says that I need to caulk between all brushes. does that mean any brush that touches the fog? or all of the fog brushes... I've tried both caulk and nodraw, like the tutorial said to do with water and it doesn't seem to work.

sooo... I'm just trying to figure this out and this seems like the best place to do it.

I should just wait until I get a new computer and can actually download other's levels to take apart and learn from. maybe I'll just go and do that a little later.

thanks

As far as I know, you can't have two fog brushes in close vicinity, visible from each other. Make one, bigger fog brush.

If a curved stairs tutorial is only making things harder, then forget the tutorial and do it without. You aren't giving any explanations why it's so hard, so I might as well suggest you go out and study curved stairs in real life to have some idea what they look like. Mapping various kinds of them doesn't sound like a huge problem to me, if you know what you want. And just because you know what tutorial you are talking about doesn't mean everybody else knows as well.
