I was fiddling around with EasyGen, and i created a huge crevices and gorges, and it looked sorta familiar, then it hit me. I decided I'd make a map of Malchor 5 from KOTOR II.

I've looked through all the JO textures, then extracted all the JA textures into the JO textures, and I found a few textures that might work.

If you know what it looks like, can you suggest textures or a place to get them?

speaking of textures, i looked through the sky textures to create the skybox, and i found that Hevil was the best suited. However... it didnt have a sky shader. I figured out that it must have been where the JO skies.SHADER is, but in the JA shaders folder.. which i deleted when i uninstalled JA.

Is there some way to create a custom sky shader?

I'm not sure how you got JA resources, but whatever.

Just copy and paste a typical sky shader used by the game and refer to the skies textures.

Like I said, I'm not sure how you got the textures but not the shader files.

Here's the shader:
Code:
textures/skies/hevil
{
	q3map_lightimage	textures/colors/white
	qer_editorimage	textures/skies/sky
	q3map_surfacelight	800
	q3map_lightsubdivide	512
	sun 1 1 1 400 300 50
	surfaceparm	sky
	surfaceparm	noimpact
	surfaceparm	nomarks
	notc
	q3map_nolightmap
	skyParms	textures/skies/hevil 128 -
    {
        map textures/skies/cloudlayer2
        blendFunc GL_SRC_ALPHA GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA
        tcMod scroll 0 0.00225
        tcMod scale 4 4
    }
}

i copied a shader from the shaders folder, renamed it to "hevil" and pasted the script you gave me into it. im guessing i did something wrong because nothing showed up when i loaded the skies textures... o.O

haha nvr mind i forgot to mention it in the shaderlist.txt, it works great now.

or not... i compiled the map and its all black squares. Perhaps it has something to do with skies.SHADER?

how anout this. I can copy the Jedi Academy skies.SHADER into the JO skies.SHADER... maybe that'll clear everything up.

I have the JA CD, but its sorta broken... ill see if i can get it to work.

If you aren't putting it into a .pk3 you have to type "sv_pure 0" before you load the map.

Make sure that the textures are where the shader is looking for them. Including that cloudlayer one.
Sneaky sneaks. I'm actually a werewolf. Woof.
