I know there is a dark forces one mod in the making... I have always wanted to remake this game on this engine... I did a little bit of work on the first level a few years ago and realized how hard it was....

so I guess I'm wondering if there is anyone out here who would be willing to work on a mod of this magnitude with me.

I need some practice as I've forgotten nearly everything I knew about level editing.

just kinda throwing it out there to see if there is anyone who would like to.

Probably it would be better on a better engine like Source.

It doesn't seem much of a remake anymore when using an already, outdated engine such as Quake 3.

The Source engine looks fascinating. Where can I find an editor, I'd like to try it out.

You need to get Steam. There, you can download the SDK for editing. Hammer is the name of Source engine's editor.

APPARENTLY they already have the first level done... there are a few SS's on their website of level 1, 2, Yun level, and another one but i cant remeber

I wish someone would make a really good mod for outcast, cause I lost my academy. I thought there was a DF2 for outcast but maybe not...

I didn't know about the DF2 mod for the source engine... and I didn't even think about that. a wonderful idea... but if someone has already started it then I guess this question is a mute point.

Dammit, I keep installing and uninstalling that because I have no use for it... oh well, I'll check it out.

Do you even have Half-Life 2 the game? You can't begin editing if you don't have HL2 and it's resources.

and it would be amazing to see this game remade on the source engine. the lightsaber battles would be best suited to take the sword fighting from Dark messiah...... to bad I don't have the time or I'd start learning to make source levels just for this.
