GTKRadiant gridlines keep disappearing

(GTKRadiant 1.4)

About 10-15 minutes into working on my map, the gridlines disappear and nothing I've tried can bring them back. I keep having to restart Radiant often and its really annoying. Anyone had this issue before? I've googled and it seems like I'm the only one having this problem.

But the grid system itself is still there? What I mean is, lines still snap at points?

Yeah and you can change the grid units and everything, but I just can't see them.

Hmm. Seems like a graphic card issue. Not sure what would be a solution because newer graphic cards don't like certain aspects of GTK 1.4.0.
