No, I went to Best Buy to look. #1 the mx700 is insanely expensive and its a wireless mouse.
#2 My friend has the mx500, and I didnt like the feel of it.

Logitech mx300 or mx310 if you're going the cheap route. It has a better optical sensor than the Microsoft mice.

i generally don't suggest cordless mice for gaming... would really suck if something disrupted the signal... and don't say it never happens because it can and has before... also would suck even more if your batteries died in the middle of a game...

Meh, each to his own, I suppose. I use both mice and trackballs. Ive got a trackball on this workstation, and mice on evertying else. But, I really cant stand using a mouse for an exteded period of time without getting a *very* sore forearm. A trackball, on the other hand, I can use for days on end constantly without any pain at all.

I never understood the need for cordless mice/keyboards. Is the cord really that short? You guys need to be that far away?

I have a cordless mouse, the wire on my old mouse would get tangled on stuff i had on the desk, trapped under CD cases and stuff. For me it's a lot easier. Although the "range" is 3m I can actually use it from the other side of the room, where I can't even see the cursor anymore [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

Heh, I have a normal PS/2 mouse plugged in next to my desk in case that ever happens (wow I'm a nerd.)

But yes, if you go wireless make ABSOLUTELY SURE to buy 2 sets of rechargable batteries and a charger.

MS Intellimouse Explorere owner here and love it. Games are superb with it. I have nothing against the Logititech MX500 except it doesnt fit my hand well. The Intellimouse Explorer fits like a glove. The Microsoft mouse is larger. If you have large hands go with Microsoft. Go to Best Buy and test both, buy the one that feels better

Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0

Their software blows, but their hardware isn't half bad. I've fallen in love with this mouse. Seriously, it's right at the best mouse I've ever used.

Anyway, yea, my two cents.

i've got the wireless verison of the mouse your looking, the feel and response of the mouse is great, its feels like its moulded to your hand (as long as ur right handed).

going back to "normal" mice (mouses ..?) feels wrong, i'd highly recommend it.

heres what i was thinking of....

instead mine is infra-red...would recommend this one though...bluetooth *should* be better than infra-red...battery life is around 2-3 months...
