Looking for some good computer hardware magazines...
2004-01-29, 2:00 PM #1
I currently subscribe to PC Gamer, and it does a fairly good job of keeping me up with games. However, I'm looking for some good computer hardware magazine that can tell me about the latest tech, trends, and the future. I was at a friends house and I read his issue of Computer Power User, or CPU magazine. It seems to do a great job of writing everything I'd like to read. Before I subscribe, I'd like to get some of your opinions. Do you subscribe to any PC hardware magazines? If you do, what are your experiences with each one?

Go to the book store or a news stand and take a look at the PC magazines. Find one that you like then subscribe.

Sites like Slashdot are generally a few months ahead of magazines, considering how long it takes to write, print, distribute etc. Magazines are usually 2-3 months behind the times.

Get Maximum PC (sister mag to PC Gamer) and PC Magazine. MaxPC will keep you up on the home/geek end of the spectrum and PCMag will fill in the home/business end.

Wired Mag is always a good mag, remember it had an interview with Linus not too long ago. Got some pretty nifty stuff in it too. Heheh
