So yeah... new KoRn CD, 'Take a Look in the Mirror.' (prolly not that new, but I just got it)

I'm really liking it. It turned out to be way better than what i was expecting. So far my favorite song is 'Alive.' Anyone else have it yet? Thoughts?

Oh, and don't turn this into an OMG LIEK KORN SUX LOLOL thread.

Is this CD more like Issues, or does it hark back to Follow the Leader (my favorite of their albums)?

This cd seems to be more heavy than their last few. I like it a lot.

I really like the album, though I think I liked the original version of "Alive" more than the version on the album.

Yeah they really butchered that song on the new album.

Hahaha... those lyrics made me laugh. Especially since after whispering that, then shouting that, they then scream F***! as loud as they can. Haha, stereotypical KoRn.

I like the new album, but my favorite song has to be "Ya'll want a single"

Yeah, there's always one screamed F-word in every KoRn CD [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

Also, did anyone else hear the bagpipes in Alive? Not the first time KoRn has used bagpipes in songs.

I acknowledge that KoRn are fairly poser-ish, and their lyrics suck... but they are quite therapeutic to scream along to when you're feeling angry.

Well said.

I'm personally all for somewhat positive discussions of why you don't like other types of music. That way instead of getting ridiculed someone would know why other people don't like their music.

heh.. the first time i listened to 'y'all want a single', i thought he was saying "poopeh poopeh, y'all wanna see my poopeh?"(At the very beginning) and that he had finally gone insane. Then i put two and two together and... yeah... he doesnt say poopeh.

I didn't mean to upset you guys, I just didn't think the line "Through your face my fist go POW" was the greatest choice of words. But since I have not heard the song I can't really say if the song itself is horrible. It's just the lyrics didn't look that promising...

I agree, Jon Davis has never been the best at writting lyrics. If you look at quite a few of Korn's songs, the lyrics just look goofy. Generally when he's singing though, it doesn't sound that bad.
