I accidently(dont know how) managed to get it to set my prefered option for downloading zip files to be to open them. how do i undo this?

If GBK says change to a different browser, I will post a rant on how i like windows and will only ever use a microsoft UI.

Fine, I'll say it.

Use a different browser.

Anyway, why is this a problem? If you want to actually save the files, just click on save target as (by right clicking).

Actually, the problem isn't the browser but the OS (since I've also had this problem [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif])

Go to Control Panel -> Folder Options -> File Types tab -> scroll down to the .zip filetype -> click advanced -> check "confirm open after download" or something like that.

At least, thats what the problem was with mine. If it doesn't help you, then you obviously have a different problem [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

Dump IE and use a different browser. Microsofts software should all be shot and burned. Their hardware is the only stuff that's semi decent.

And before someone comes down and calls me a hypocrite for still using Windows... I use OS X and my iMac for virtually everything except gameing and the internet. I don't want to use Linux because (and now my ignorance will kick in) while I like to customize, I don't want to tell the freaking OS how to do every little thing. That, and the few times I've touched it I've been utterly lost.

Ok, I wont tell you to change to a different browser, but I will say this: IE BLOWS CHUNKS. IE SUCKS NOODLES. IE IS A REALLY, REALLY TERRIBLE BROWSER.
