Saving and storing outlook mails to disk.

I'm reformatting my hard drive, and I was curious of a way to save emails and my address book to a disk. My friend told me of a program that can do it but didn't say what it was called :P

Outlook help topics aren't helping me either.

janitor bobs idea of rogers video: He's actually the overweight guy next door who has a HUGE selection of videos, including the entire Lethal Weapon, Halloween, and 'Ernest' series.
The advantage is is that you can 'borrow' movies for long amounts of time without him remembering that you borrowed them.

The disadvantage is the pizza cheese grime on the DVDs

Address book (at least for Outlook Express) is a seperate program, and you should be able to save whatever files from that you need. I have done it before. I'm not sure about the e-mails though.

Firstly, in Outlook, log into your account and under the "File" menu (trust me, it hides somewhere there, I believe),select "Compact All Folders".

Exit Outlook/Outlook Express and run a search for "*.dbx" - these are all Outlook based stored messages format; simply copy all of these files onto the backup medium of your choice [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Hope this has helped [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]
