Wow....that's one pretty damn determined little bugger. I so have to find a photo of this incident.

I loled at that as I read it imagining an Austrailian accent.

Kinda like "The first we knew of it was a bloody dingo lobbed up here and ate that blasted baby!"

I saw it on the news just tonight. The shark was a tiny little thing - only about a foot long. Nothing real amazing. If he had of just stayed still in the water, it probably would have eventually let go on its own accord. Meh. Seems to me like he just made a big fuss over nothing.

Haha, when I read the 'bloke' part I just imagined Crocodile Dundee saying it, being like "That's not a shark, this is a shark."

[http://forums.massassi.net/html/redface.gif] Looked a lot smaller than 60cm's on the news... oh well. My mistake. Guess I should have read the article a bit better, eh?

Still, I'd be a little more concerned if it was fully grown. An adult one would have taken his whole leg off.

I love how there is some debate about how long 60 cm really is. I think we're missing the point: IT WAS A SHARK! If we were talking about a cucumber being 60 cm, I think it would be a worthwhile thing to determine, but a shark is a different story...
