Its about time... I hope they dont scimp on it and just make an extended version of a regular episode. That's the reason they havent made a movie yet though, so they must've come up with a good idea.

I am very scared. A few years ago, I would have been excited at the prospect of a Simpsons movie, but the last few seasons of the show, IMO, have been absolute CRAP! The "humor" is so cheap and lame that I turn the TV off in disgust. I suppose I'll gather the nerve to see this. I owe it that much for the years of good episodes, but I hope they don't royally botch it.

This season (15), in my opinion, is one of the best seasons out of their 15 year run. It's been so good with the exception of the one before last sunday.

The guys said they would never make a movie if they weren't true to the series. I miagine it will be a lot like South Park: Bigger, longer, and uncut.

They said that was the type of movie tehy are aiming for, jsut not as vulgar. And they promised that it won't be another Scooby Doo. Although they joke that the movie will suck hard.

Another good thing is that thye are getting their five best writers from the whole series to do it. That would be nice. Would be cool if Conan O Brien was one of them!

I have faith in them that it will be a good movie, not some moneymaking thing.

I hope they make it live action with lots of bullet time and Homer gets played by Vin Diesel! Lisa could be played by Martha Stewart and at the end the screen goes black right before the main conflict is resolved and a buzzer under every audience member's seat gives them a painful shock!

That would be sweet.
