If I could wish for just one thing this Christmas, it would be for Massassians to show their Christmas Spirit to the World.

What am I talking about? Let me specify:

I would like everyone to do a good, kind, humanly deed, and help someone in or around your community. Then post your good deed here at Massassi.net.

I'll go first: There's this old woman (widow) who lives next door to us. She's quite dependant on her two daughters, but they live out of town. Therefore we tend to her yard, shovel her driveway/walks, etc.

What is the purpose? To stop the widespread commercialism that has infected each and every one of us at Christmas time. The attitude nowadays is "Gimme gimme gimme", and it's, quite frankly, disgusting. Sure, giving is kind, but I think it's still a part of the commercialism scene.

So, go ahead, donate for the needy, volunteer at your local food bank. And post it here.

What do you get? That warm fuzzy feeling that let's you know that the true Christmas Spirit lives in you...
