It's written like that to get around spam blockers.
2004-02-16, 6:44 PM #4
I know /why/ it's written like that.. i just find it to be unbelievably asinine.

And honestly, if someone can't or won't present a product professionally with good layout content and OMQ spelling, i see no reason in hell they should be making any money and still be able to send out those emails.

All it takes is one idiot. Emails take basically no bandwidth to send. If one in every million emails resulted in a buy, they'd still make a profit. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

So yes, spammers are quite asinine, almost as much as people who believe this scam crap.

I get stuff like that all the time. Either:

A) They are truly too dumb to spell

or

B) They want to get around spam blockers

Spammers don't care how professional they seem. They send out millions of copies of each e-mail, hoping to rack up as many buyers as they can, so they can get the biggest check possible from their "employer". Of course, usually when as spammer's identity is revealed, they are in rather deep hot water...

Even stupider than spammers are scammers, especially the ones claiming that they need to shove a few million off onto you, but they nee your bank account/credit card number...

I got a rather clever spam mail yesterday. The person had disguised it as a payment receipt from Paypal.

I generally regard spammers to be absolute filth, pretty much in the same league as those that browse kiddie porn all day.

spam brings down the overall quality of the internet and it forces people to go through an extra hassle to block it.

Most people regard me as the dark and immoral side of Massassi. At least I'm getting what I want out of life.

I swear on my honor that if I meet someone in real life who professes to be a spammer, I'll attack fiercely and violently on the spot.

Yes, I would break a spammer too. First his will, then his body.
2004-02-17, 2:21 PM #14
Althouhg I'm not sure if there are laws specifically outlawing spamming, but I know that most ISPs who uncover a spammer among their clientele will cut them off, and sometimes inform the other ISPs of them...
