Erm, who is the Green Hornet?

He was a maksed crime fihgter whose asian sidekick actually did all of the fighting. In the past there were talks of Jet Li being considred for the role of his sidekick Kato

Time to pull the Bruce Lee clone out of the closet because I want no one else playing Kato.

Lee made green hornet great.

This was original based on a comic book? I also thought it was just some show Bruce Lee did.

Kevin Smith is a huge comic book fan, so I trust him to make it good.

Chaz, Ben Affleck is a huge comic book fan as well. Daredevil sucked. Being a comic fan does not guarantee a good movie.

Cool, sounds good! If Jackie Chan slimmed down he could be a good Kato. Who could play Green Hornet though?

And DareDevil was a pretty good movie. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

Considering they did have quite a bit of action in the Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back movie, I think it'll be ok. Heck, they were the first to even put DareDevil in a movie! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

What did Affleck do besides act? Kevin Smith is writer and director. I think he has a little more control over Green Hornet than Affleck did with Daredevil.

Hahaha I knew someone would say that. My point is that his job (wether or not he actually did it) was to act, while Kevin Smith's are writer and director. I really think he can do a good job, as long as Affleck is nowhere near it.

What's really important though, is will people care about a Green Hornet movie? It's not exactly popular. (or is it? I really don't know)

Chaz, no one ever heard of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Blade or X-Men save for the elite of nerds, and all those did well in theatres. Hellboy is another one. The point is if it has action, and looks good, people will see it. Older people, I.E. our parents, will remember The Green Hornet from the 60s TV series, and our grandparents from the 40s radio series.

Did you know on December 8th, 1941, Kato suddenly became a Filipino in the radio series?

I know that, I'm just saying it was a good movie anyways. Sorry if I said that confusingly, but his work on Jay and Silent Bob movies is pretty sweet. I think he can handle it.

I'm guessing you got confused when I mentioned him having DareDevil first. When Jay and Silent Bob are going through the back lots in Hollywood, there's a guy dressed up as DareDevil. Just thought that was funny and would point it out.

Blah blah blah. Release Jersey Girl already, Kevin!

BTW, Chan as Kato would be bad. Chan is a decent martial artist, but a MUCH better comedic/action/acrobat. I'd vote for a Jet Li or any of the Crazy 88 Kato mask wearing ninja yakuza assassins from Kill Bill.

The original series was based off a comic book? I think you're getting Hornet/Lantern/Arrow confused.....

I thought LEG did bad in theaters? Maybe I heard wrong. More than just the nerd elites knew about X-Men. The cartoon made them much more known. Still, you're right. The fact that some people have never heard of it before won't stop them from seeing it.
