Movies with Star Wars references
2004-02-19, 11:57 AM #1
I just thought of this little game or... thing we can play. Lets try to name all the movies we can that have nothing to do with Star Wars, but still mentions or imitates them in some way (on purpose). Then also post the instance where the reference occurred.

I'll start with a few.

Spaceballs -obvious

Hot Shots part deux- "lightsaber" battle and "Saddam" using a darth vader voice

Saving Silverman- quote "She is Vader.." "No she's the Emperor" "But with way better (boobies)".

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back- "Bongsaber" duel

Austin Powers: The Spy who Shagged Me - Intro to the movie, "Austin, I am your father".

Thats all I'll put for now cus I dont wanna take them all up. I just wanna see how much SW is referred to in other movies.

I was thinking the same thing. The one from Clerks is about the constuction crew that got blown up in the 2nd Death Star explosion.

Yeah, Morg, that's the one. I've never actually seen Clerks (I really want to), but my friend told me about that scene.

Ermm, Spork, just as an example, Batman was in that list, and the only link between that movie and SW is Billy Dee Williams. I was thinkin more of a direct quote or INTENTIONAL imitation or mentioning of the movies.
