iTunes is not exactly made for skinning. While it can be done, I've heard that it isn't easy.

At anyrate, all the skins I've ever run across were quite bad anyway.

Why skin it? It looks incredibly sexy in default I think.

I've never bothered to skin my players, so iTunes suit me just fine...

I skin Windows to match iTunes instead [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

Use iTunes as a playlist editor, use winamp as a player

All I have to do is to check the DTFs or DDs or message center at devArt for a new good theme, download it, unzip, double click on the file and press OK.
That's two minutes worth of work. But yeah, I want a Mac.

I also use iTunes to update my iPod.

I never understood the skins.
When I listen to music on the computer I am usually doing toher things so I can't see the player anyway. :/

So you want something Technologically inferior, with inferior software, and non-upgrade-ability? Not only that, but something that's at least twice the price of any PC? Interesting.

Dj Yoshi...
dude, have you even thought about updating your knowledge of apple?
http://store.apple.com
OS X is built on UNIX (you know what unix is, right?)
the G5 CPUs are 64-bit...
the prices are VERY reasonable for the power you get (and the support!)

anyway, this is not a Apple vs MS thread [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

the G5 is low end high dollar 64-bit.

unix is a scientist's os, not a user's.

macs are not easily upgradable.

Affordable for power !=true. I could get twice the power out of an Athlon64 FX51. Sure I'd spend 500 on the proc, but I'd only spend 70 on the board and 10 on a case 15 on a powersupply. I've got ram and other essentials just lying around. So that puts my new 64bit outperformer at $595+... where as your Mac starts at over 2 grand. Affordable? pffft. Maybe for Bill Cosby.
