How do you find out if someone died?!

Irk... news verified. So yeah, I decided to call. You know, more and more I'm realling getting afraid of ye olde roads.

I guess the direct route is always the best. Got it from the proverbial horses' mouth.

This reminds me of that time Cave Demon faked his death... [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

Call your friend. Failing that, call your friend's parents. Call the police (front line, not 911). Ask her uni if she has been to school. Ask her uni to check up on her.... Etc.

This sorta (not really) reminds me of the time when I was watching the news and a guy that I grew up next door to murdered someone in cold blood by ramming the guy off of his motorcycle, sending him soaring about 50 feet.

Sorry to hear about your friend if it turns out to be true. As GBK said, try calling the police and looking for relatives in the phone book. Maybe a common friend has her number/address?

I verified the CaveDemon "prank" by checking the newspaper archives. Every deadly road accident makes it into the daily newspaper here, at least as a quick mention. The only road accident that came up for the day was a 10 year old child getting run over, which wasn't even anywhere near any road leading between Vaasa and Helsinki-Vantaa Intl. Airport.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

He didn't, actually. His friend (or relative) decided to be "funny".

I'm sorry for your loss, Kuat. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

I wish we had that. Me and my friends were up to about 3 AM looking for it. Supposedly a Semi went over the devider on the freeway, hit her, and then another semi hit her as well. I mean, such an accident should get some news. But nowhere, nada, zilch, zero. It's funny that some non fatlity accidents get some news, yet this rather dramatic seeming one gets not even a word. Even though some jerk may have added hyperbole to that story, there is not a peep about it anywhere still. Not even on the school paper/website.

Anyway, thanks for the sympathy.
