I think I found my new car
2004-02-21, 5:25 PM #1
For those of you that were here earlier in the week, my trusty old Chevy Lumina was totalled in a car wreck. I have been car shopping for several days and finally found something I like in my price range. It's a 2001 Audi A4.
It's complete with a Bose sound system, all wheel drive, sun roof, etc.

So what do you think?

A friend of mine had an '01 A4 Quattro with a turbo. It is a wonderful car. I strongly recommend it. The only bad thing is it has a tiny, pansy-*** Straight 4 1.8L engine. It had nice acceleration, but little to no torque. Aside from that, it's an exceptional automobile.

Oh, and that's the BEST color for that particular car.

That is EXACTLY what this is. The 1.8 Turbo 4 cylinder with the Quattro all wheel drive. What's really disturbing is that it's almost exactly the same color as my old Lumina.

If, like NoESC, you want more on the cars specs or additional pictures you can look here.

There's a reason why it looks a little like a Jetta. Audi is the higher end cars made by VW like Ford also owns Jaguar and Toyota (I think it's Toyota) makes Lexus for their high end cars. Frankly, I test drove this and I sat in a Jetta earlier in the day. I felt cramped in the Jetta but not in the A4. And overall the car is much nicer. Some parts though (like the gear shift) are clearly of VW origin.

Where is that . . . somewhere round Houston, I think I may have been there before.

The car sounds nice. I always liked Audis. As said before, the color suits it.

Bose sound system?!? Get it for that alone! J/K... But that is a sweet looking car. I'd feel comfortable driving that car...

ROFL, thanks for the warning. Of course, here in South Texas there's not many times you would want it anyway.
