A desperate disease requires a dangerous remedy.

A major source of objection to a free economy is precisely that it gives people what they want instead of what a particular group thinks they ought to want. Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.

Woo for beer indeed!

Happy birthday from a fellow northern monkey!

(And perhaps happy hangover for later - I was a state the day after my 18th! - advice: plenty of water, clean your teeth extra long, and have an uber greasy fry-up)

The only liquor I have ever had in any amount is champaign on New Years.

Unfortunately, I was only at Mardi Gras for Friday through Sunday. I couldn't miss enough days of school to be there any longer. Plus, I ended up staying on St. Charles (about as family-friendly as you can get at Mardi Gras) since I had no way to get anywhere else from the apartment where we were staying.

Today in baseball, the team with the most points won, oddly enough that also happened in basketball, football, hockey, soccer, tennis, and volleyball, but golf was a whole different story.

He didn't. All he mentioned was that it wasn't for him.

Anyway... Happy Birthday! (a little belated)

LOL I lived on St. Charles. Particulary because my good friends were part of a frat a Tulane that had close to 90 kegs. 50 were finished the first two days.
