Anyone remember this? that little menu that showed you what Alt + (number) gave you certain characters and what not? It was on windows 95....

be dammned if i can find it here on 98. is there someplace i could download it? or am I just not looking hard enough in windows 98?

I know that. But i Don't know any of the number combinations. Is there a place i could get a list of number combos or download the old character map?

start/run charmap

If it doesn't work, you probably didn't install it. Go to your windows control panel, then windows software and find it under accessories I believe.
