The international figures could be interesting for Jesus Chainsaw Massacre, with the subtitles and all for once it's a blockbuster that doesnt just target the American market.

That's right. He made this movie to get back in tough with his religion (catholic). He claims that in his movie history, he has fallen very far from God and his religion, so he tried to get back up there. He did this in light of Hollywood's OMG_NO attitude toward these types of movies.

I was a bit disappointed that they ripped a plot line straight from star wars, though...

Yes, but you have to remember, for a significant portion of the movie the actor who plays Jesus is basically set up as a large lightning rod.

Pfft, lightning rod, shmitling rod. Jim just wasn't pulling his weight on the set. God was making sure he was getting his lines right, and all that.
