Looking for a media decompiler (mostly for videos and Flash files)

Hey everyone!

I've recently made use of SWF Extractor which I've found very useful, but it does not support the extraction of sound effects from a Flash file, only images. So I'm looking for a decompiler or similar that's more comprehensive.

Second, I've got numerous AVIs, MPEGs (you know the routine) whose sound and individual frames I'd like to be able to decompile (I know RAD Video Tools can decompile videos into images, but it's not a favourite of mine and can't do sound). Let me point out now that all of this would be for my personal use; anything I get out of the files will stay with me only - fair enough right?

Well, hope you guys can help; you always do!

VirtualDub will help you extract what you want from video files. Can't help you with Flash though...
