Anyone know how to do the small text? Like in some programs its not the standard size text, is there any way to do that without using a program or code?

2nd -> draw -> text(y,x,"blahblahblah")

the coordinates are based on the pixels on the screen, so they're independent from the window settings. also, notice that they're backwards.. the y comes first. so the top left corner is 0,0, bottom right is 62,94.

(the coordinates that you place determine the top left corner of your text)

You can write a program to count the length of the input and break it off and print again after bumping the coords down. I think the length of the screen holds like 24 or 25 letters, I can't remember exactly, but I've done it before... but yeah, that'd take programming [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

I want a programmable calculator with a decent screen, and a C++ compiler. I mean, the Ti-83 uses a Z80 processor, but the display is just so bad. Plus not fun to do 3D graphics in BASIC. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

The TI-86 and TI-89 are a lot more advanced and can run programs a lot quicker. Plus you can program using Assembly for TI Calcs as well.

I have an old TI-89 in my basement, back when they were sold as personal computers. The thing is huge... and you have to hook it up to a tv, it has no screen of its own.

I was going to start teaching myself to program things for shells like MirageOS and stuff, so I can make those really nice games on TI-83+s that are actually programmed on the computer and run fast like mario and tetris, but some dipstick lost my TI-83+ silver edition at school a few weeks ago and I haven't had the heart to tell him it's gone and he's going to have to pay me for it yet (he's been looking like mad trying to find it... he seems totally sensire about it, so I almost feel bad for making him pay for it, but it was after all HIM who lost it, not me...)

so, to make a short story long, I've been stuck using my crappy old TI-83 for a while [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

I feel sorry for you. Those things suck so bad. I tried to put a game i made for on a friends calc that was a TI-83 plus and i shouldve realized but i didnt that mine goes twice as fast as his does. It ended up being as slow as trying to run Jedi Academy with a Celeron.

Oh and BTW correction the name for those programs are ASM programs or Assembly language. They are ones that are actually compiled.

The TI83+ is slower for the most part, but it has a lot more functionality built into it with the aps feature. Plus I've seen some games that use the aps feature that run pretty fast.

There's a C compiler for TI-89/92. Not sure how well it works.

If you have a graphlink (that thingy that lets you send stuff back and forth between your computer and your calculator) ticalc.org is a great place to post and download stuff.

And yeah, I visit ticalc.org often to find stuff. Some stuff is awesome, but some if it doesn't transfer right over the USB [http://forums.massassi.net/html/mad.gif].

I wanna play Gemini. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif] (It's a Wolf 3D clone, lol1)
