It was working fine yesterday now microsoft.com is down and I can't even get the live update to work... anyone else getting problems with it right now?

microsoft.com worked fine for me....can't check live update on uni computers though.

I never bother with it. I hate their site. Maybe they all died, wouldn't that be interesting.

I think they'll be updating the update program so that may be part of it

Their sites run on microsoft technology, of course there is going to be some downtime. Plus, it was just revealed that they've contributed $86 MILLION to SCO for their fraudulent lawsuits against linux, and knowing how linux users are... it's no surprise that MS will start having site problems [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

As you may or may not know, MechWarrior, but Microsoft likes to completely overhaul their websites every two days.

Seriously. Near the end of the Zone's productive days, Microsoft would update Zfriends and flush the accounts on a weekly basis.

It tends to do this to hotmail and other official sites too.

Microsoft has its ups (compatibility, availability) and its downs (cost, this update crap), but in general I'm fairly satisfied.

They probably shut it down just to see how many people would go into turmoil (sp?) considering if you dont get updates/patches and such from their site every other week youre bound to get some kinda virus or not be compatable for the next blah blah ... tired of typing now.
