Maybe the server is offline, since if I remember correctly it is Cavey's so he might have shut it down. Possibly...

the swiss alps are part of the french alps... there all interconnected i was only about 30 minutes from the border of france. Our plan actually landed in Geneva, Switzerland (where the CERN anti-matter project takes place) and we took a bus to La Plagne, the resort we stayed at. I am not to happy with french government but their people are really nice and understand english (most of em). Wierd thign though bout france is EVERY car is either a Fiat, Renault, or a Peugot. They are all French made cars and shows how independent France is...

France is one country in a world. That's it.

Besides, there are some french people who make good music.

i do not see the point your making...

I am not stickin up for france i was simply stating the differences between it and the US, there different cultures and both the US and France are pretty arrogant countries. As for car quality i could not tell you but most cars the size of a Focus (there were many focuses there as well) but the cars were all diesel. It was kinda funny hearing a lil 1.8 diesel car the size of Geo Metro "diesel knock" as it drove by lol, coulda been a semi u wouldnt have known

Oh, and Snoop, Fiat is Italian. Citroën, Renault and Peugeot are French though. Nice pictures.

Since when? Even before the whole tiff over Iraq most French people treated Americans like crap. After the whole Iraq tiff, it probably got worse.

oops, i must be mistaken bobba it was you who went to ski in the alps and met french people

god quit confusing there government for them stereotypical bs like this is what leads to flame wars

the french kids i met there were really nice and bought me drinks. they were really interested in my culture like literally asking what we do and trying to understand our accent as it were as opposed to the stiff english they are taught in school. None of them said anything about bush or anything of the sort they were interested in who I was which was cool since i was just as interested in them. I never saw any hostility or envy or anything.

I'm not trying to incite a flame war. It's a commonly known thing that the French do not treat Americans well in their country. I guess you could call it a stereotype, like all black people are afraid of water or ghosts or Jews are cheap. It's a stereotype. I didn't mean it maliciously; I just said it because it is something commonly known. I didn't say all French treated Americans poorly; just that it is relatively common. And after the whole Iraq war thing, I'd assume the problem would get worse.

If the french treat americans poorly, they have every reason to. I'm not even the slightest bit french, and I've often gotten kicked out of games/chatrooms by americans only because I speak french. And this happened far too often to just be some random idiot. Of course, I'm not saying every american is like that. But I can only imagine people who are really from france have it much worse, so it's not really surprising if they tend to be more prejudiced towards american visitors.
