Resevoir Dogs

I just finished watching it for the first time, and wow. Tarantino really knows how to make movies. His gift for dialogue is unmatched by anyone in the movie industry right now. Really, the ending to the movie has left me really depressed, I can't begin to describe how good of a movie it was. I still think though I like Pulp Fiction more, than Reservoir Dogs, and then Kill Bill. I really want to see Jackie Brown now. So, for those who have seen the movie, what are your thoughts on it?(And yes I know I misspelled the title)

Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and Kill Bill have been three of my favorite movies for many years (well, Kill Bill only recently...), but Jackie Brown really bored me. The dialogue wasn't as good, the plot was completely pointless, and it didn't have nearly as much style as those other three movies. And he cast Robert De Niro in a completely pointless role. His character spends most of his time sitting on a couch listening to the other characters talk.

What exactly is the movie about?

I liked Resevoir Dogs better than Pulp Fiction.

Its about a bank robery that goes wrong, and the bank robbers, after escaping, realize that someone among them is a police informant. They are start to go crazy trying to figure out which one of them it is. If you want to see a movie with a very dim view of human nature, then watch Resevoir Dogs.

I believe it's:

"Say what again. Say what again, I dare you, I double dare you motherf*****."

Ironically, my favorite Quentin Tarantino movie wasn't directed by him, but written by him -- True Romance. Brilliant all-star cast (Christopher Walken, Dennis Hopper, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette...), great dialogue, great storyline, great fight scenes, just overall great. Highly recommended.

Jackie Brown, while not as eccentric as his other three movies, is still a good movie. It's not plotless, it just has a much more complex plotline than the others. Yes, I'd say it's his least good film, but that's not saying a lot, since none of his films are weak. Don't expect Pulp Fiction and you shouldn't be disappointed with it.

And on the topic, Reservoir Dogs is easily as good as Pulp Fiction. Very realistic feeling (probably the unsteadiness of the camera and long, drawn out over-the-shoulder shots), and very well acted. Not to mention it has Michael Madsen dancing to Stuck in the Middle With You while cutting a guy's ear off. Classic.

I loved the movie. I really agree that the dialogue is amazing.

Mr. Pink: How about I be Mr. Purple?
Joe Cabot: No, you can't be Mr. Purple.
Mr. Pink: Why not?
Joe Cabot: Someone on another job is Mr. Purple!
Mr. White: Who cares what your name is?
Mr. Pink: Oh yeah, that's easy for you to say you've got a cool sounding name. How about we trade, OK? You're Mr. Pink.
