I was interested in finding out whether anyone has bought some of these, and their impressions. I'm considering buying a USS Prometheus off eBay, but the only views I can find are dorsal.

Can't say I've bought any, but the USS Prometheus was one nice ship. That, and the Pegasus' cloaking that could also pass through matter are the two sweetest prototypes as far as I'm concerned [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

IT's an interesting idea.. but they told us about it, and then didn't mention it for an entire season, and then Earth gets blown up. O_o I think that the Enterprise writers need to actually /watch/ some good episodes of Star Trek, so they know what the entire show is about. Enterprise has become a futuristic soap opera, to me.

Are you kidding, dud? Enterprise is like a giant movie; every episode contributes to the next one. They have creative stories, ones unlike other Trek shows, the cast is good, the sets are good, the effects are good, the music is good...personally, I think it may be the best series yet, which I never thought I'd say.

Best series yet??

No way does Enterprise beat out TNG. Watch TNG episodes like "Time's Arrow", "Best of the Both Worlds I,II", "Unification". In fact, just watch the damn series. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

It's not better than TNG, no. It's much better than Voyager, and probably on par with DS9. DS9 had some really good episodes, and the Dominion War I never saw all the way through but I thought that little episode was pretty awesome. You can't really compare any of them with the original series because it was just so...weird.

DS9 was awesome! I don't mind Enterprise... but Voyager sucked.

DS9, in my opinion, was the BEST Trek spinoff ever. TNG is a close second. I gave up on Voyager after about the third season and Enterprise after the first 10 episodes.

DS9? Come on. It's based on a space station. Most of the time they aren't even on a ship. When they are, it's just a dinky little thing.

Hey, TNG's one of my favs too, but at times it gets so soapy, it's like Soap Trek. Then there are the repetitive stories, and "technical inconsistencies" that are distracting at times. Enterprise is completely different from any of the other Treks, and in many ways, better.

And yet, in so many other ways, it's a lot worse.

DS9 really didn't take place on the station that much. Over half of the time the crew was on missions elsewhere - earth, other Starfleet ships, Klingon ships, and, yes, the Defiant. The space station was really just a point from which they launched the actual mission - I believe this was the original premise of the show, before they got the Dominion War paradigm shift.

Now now guys, we all know that Star Trek 1 and 5 are better than 2,3,4,6,7, and 8.

Once I get my debit card validated, I'll maybe bid on some of those.

It has some language and a little other stuff that may not be suited for youngins, but this guy makes a ton of seemingly strong points about Enterprise.

Voyager had the best music. I would listen to the theme song and then change the channel. DS9 comes in a close second. Same premise, theme, channel.

Do you mean the movies? I would vote:
1. First Contact (the Borg rule)
2. Undiscovered Country (great story)
3. The Voyage Home (colorful metafors [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif])

Enterprise lacks decent writers, has inconsistent story lines, can't seem to stick to one enemy, and spends too much time on speical effects. And the theme song... [http://forums.massassi.net/html/mad.gif]

TNG is by far better than all the series.
