How awful... I've had several friends who used to live in Madrid. I hope that the people they know weren't hurt.

The fact that there's an upcoming election must have something to do with the timing, though I can't see how this vile act can hope to accomplish anything.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

My friend is on an exchange program in Spain... he lives about 30 minutes (walking) from where the explosions happened. Apparently there were lots of kids at school who had parents who were taking those trains. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

Madrid is one of my favorite cities. When I heard it on the news I was devastated. I heard they have more links to Al Qaeda than they do to the ETA.

Some friends of ours in Spain say that a lot of people there think that this was Al Qaeda. They said that this was way too big for ETA.

It is just impossible for me to comprehend how people would be able to justify doing something like this to themselves. It is hard to imagine that they are even the same species as me.
