I'm looking for a flying game that's more or less the same style as Rogue Squadron. I'm open to any suggestions but only for PC.

I have Starlancer and Crimson skies.
although I'll have to go out and buy starlancer again because one of the cd's are cracked

Other flying games i own: Entire X-wing/TIE fighter series, combat flight sim 1, flight sim 2000, battle for naboo.

but i'm looking for something with the crimosn skies/rogue squadron feel to it. not so many controls like a sim.

There's always LEC's newest: Secret Weapons over Normandy. It's even less Simmy than Crimson Skies. Judging from the demo, your plane feels like it's practically a dirigible with a powerful engine strapped on: very hard to stall, very easy to climb almost vertically, loop, roll and throw around. It's even got bullet time..

It's very much like the Rogue Squadron games, except in a campy WWII setting (Demo has an American pilot flying a Hurricane and complaining about "stiff-*** Brits", and tossing challenges to rival German aces during duels).

The sound, of course, like most LEC productions, is quite good too.

Screw Freelancer. It just does what Wing Commander: Privateer did ten years before.

The only Wing Commander game I played was Wing Commander: Prophecy, and that one was pretty cool.

Secret weapons over normandy looks pretty good. I'm looking into freelancer right now, seems interesting. not sure yet though

It was the worst of the series, if that gives you any frame of reference.
