Lately, I've been having a TERRIBLE problem with popup ads. I've run both adaware and spybot multiple times, and each time I remove everything, I have another 4 popups within five minutes. This is getting way out of hand, this morning I woke up to 67 open popups. I need to make this go away before I go insane.

GBK is right. Google only stops popups you get from sites, not from spyware. If you wipe your system clean of spyware, and use Firefox, you won't get anymore spyware. Simply because Firefox is incompatible with it.

If you're determined to stay with IE, Hijackthis, Spybot, Housecall, are your friends. Run in this order--Housecall, Hijackthis, Spybot.

I have the same problem on my family's desktop. Although we switched to Mozilla, the popups still come in through IE windows even though i dont open IE, and even though i have a anti-spyware program

I just tried firefox. I've had it for about 3 minutes, and I definately recommend it as an alternative to IE.
