treble/bass settings

In windows 98, I could adjust the treble/bass settings of my sound card. Now with XP, the option is greyed out. Creative has no drivers for my sound card available for download.

How do I adjust these settings?

Sound Blaster 16 PCI.

I just fixed the problem by de-activating the device, rebooting, and activating it again. O_o
