For some odd reason, EBGames has decided to start shipping the game ahead of schedule (instead of March 15th). I don't have it yet, but the game went out the door on Friday.

Anyone else buying it?

Uh oh, this is trouble for me. I can never be playing more than one game at a time and I'm still really enjoying COD multiplay. What to do, what to do?

Can't wait! The worse thing about BF1942 is getting whacked by a bomb/mine after driving a tank across a map [http://forums.massassi.net/html/mad.gif] Chopper pickup is going to make this game fun again! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

Now that's 200 dollars worth of games to buy in the next two months. Great. Wonderful. I'm screwed.

yeah, I say UT2K4 will be better. Faster and smoother gameplay, more levels, plus its UT. Just an opinion.

Well I'm looking for a good War sim, DoD just doesn't cut it. We'll see how this fares.

If you want a good war sim, save $40 by getting the re-released Operation Flashpoint instead for $10.

May not have the eye-candy edge anymore but it's still a much more advanced combined forces (air/land/sea) game than anything else I've seen since. If the BF bots were pitted head to head against OFP group AI they'd get slaughtered (because of realistic superior tactics, rather than cheating or superhuman marksmanship/reaction times).
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.
