I'm having a problem with Massassi Latly. I will post a thread, and go to sleep. While I am sleeping, I will dream about the replies people write. But when I wake up, those replies are gone!

It's acutally more of a question and answer thing. For example, when I messed up my TNT2, I posted and went to bed. That night I had terrbile nightmares about my computer and my thread.

Freud was a moron in that respect. His answer to people talking to him about being sexually assaulted/molested was that they must be talking about fantasies they wanted to act out.

You're worrying me, Mystic0. You're not going loopy on me, are you? A word of advice. In Massassi, if you have disturbing dreams, the MBS says you are crazy. And they want to lock you up. And if you have disturbing dreams, and think they MEAN something, then the MBS thinks you're a prophet or witch. And they want to lock you up. So take my advice, and keep a lid on it.

One time I was doing a monotonus physical task, and the rythem inspired me to think a song along with the beat. After about 5 minutes, I realized that I was imagining that the song was a compiler and the labor was the program, and the verses were spitting out "./configure" and "make" lines... In my psych book it said the Freud and his school believed that heredity and instincts were the dominant factors in a personality, and the main reason i don't like freud is because he believed that the dominating instincts are agression and sex drive, as if we're just animals that live simply to **** and fight.

I had a dream that I joined an online dating service and i was talking to this guy on it and the guy was from massassi and he wore a cowboy hat but i can't remember what his name was supposed to be but anyhoo enough about my dream.

Nope. In fact a lot of people still use his [and his followers'] methods today. It's just less popular because psychoanalysis can take years and years whereas other approaches can be more of a quick fix. Particularly medication, a popular way out of problems these days...

If you read his work on dreams you'll see he doesn't focus entirely on sex all the time, just enough of the time for the media to have distorted his views into what you see in cartoons and crap. Don't get me wrong, he does focus on it a lot, just not 100% of the time. What I found more disturbing was the work he did to promote the wonders of cocaine abuse in his early work 'The Cocaine Papers.'

For further reading on the dreams part you could read 'On Dreams,' which was a shorter work he did to make his larger research on the meanings of dreams more accessable to the public.

Freud promotoed cocaine cuz he didn't know that it was addicting until a little while later... it was one of his greatest failures in the medical field which is why he went to psychology.

Correction.

I've had the odd dream about Massassi and JED, but nothing mega specific.

And according to Freud the male child only wants to kill his father when he is young, but when he grows up he learns to love his father and wants to earn his respect. The thing with the mother is that your first sexual experiences are with your mother (delivery through the birth canal; breast-feeding) and sucking your thumb is actually to remember the time when you were breastfeeding and is apparently the closest they can get to an orgasm at that age (<5 years I think). We haven't gotten to dreams in my psychology class yet, and so i won't comment on that part of his psychological studies. i believe he was very sucessful in that. however, i was referring to his theories on personality, which are different' In my psychology book, not cartoons and bad media, it said that he believed that the main development factors in a person where the agression and sex drive instincts which are passed on by the parents. That is why i don't like his work in that field.
