Certain skins changing things in my game?

Some skins when I use them on single player outcast does something to my controls. I have a mouse4 and mouse5 on the side of my mouse to change force powers and the game reads the two buttons as mouse4 and mouse5. Certain skins when I use the game reads both buttons as 0X00, this makes both buttons perform the same function. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Thanks.
