Saw this in my Civics class...very good movie, great acting IMO. 12 men on a jury trying to decide whether or not a boy should be sentenced for murder.

Zulu is an awesome movie. i was gonna suggest it but you beat me too it :P.
(oh, and it was 100 some odd soldiers vs. the thousands of Zulu warriors..)

Event Horizon, which I though was craftily done.

The Signs, but I'm not sure if that's "lesser known".

The Mothman Prophecies. Based on true events, but I still dislike Gere as an actor. Good flick none-the-less.

That was funny, in a violent kind of way. Touching the Void was also really good.

The Devil's Backbone: it's originally spanish, so it's subtitled, but it's still one of the best movies I've seen.

Session 9: very creepy horror movie, has one of the scariest moments in any movie I've ever seen.
