...Golberg defeats Brock Lesnar. But Austin beats both of 'em.

Chris Benoit beats Triple HHH and Shawn Micheals.

Evolution beats Rock 'n Sock.

John Cena wins his first title ever by defeating the Big Show.

The Dead Man Undertaker returns as his Grim Reaper persona and handily defeats Kane.

Eddie Guerrerro defends his heavyweight title against Kurt Angle.

All other matches I really didn't care for, but feel free to post 'em!

On a side note however, Brock Lesnar's wrestling career is being put on hold so he can tryout for an NFL team. Dunno which one though...

Brock wants to play football, eh?

I haven't folled the WWE for awhile now. I used to watch, but it's been a while.

Actually, Brock is fully quitting the WWE for football - he said that he is tired of all the traveling the WWE does.

All in all, I would say that WMXX is the best WM I have ever seen, and I have watched them all since WM III. I would go as far as to say that overall, this is the best PPV ever put on.

The matchwrok was excellent, and to be honest, there was ring psychology like you wouldn't believe in almost every match. It has been a long time since the WWE wrestlers sold moves or had as much ring psychology as they did tonight. It was awesome.

For me, there were only 2 disappointments, 1 major and 1 minor, and I expected the major one.

The major disappointment was Lesnar vs Goldberg, but I expected a craptacular match, given both men are likely leaving the WWE right after WM (although word is out Goldberg might stay and move to smackdown). Although, the crowd reaction made the match fun to watch, and if we knew nothing about Lesnar and Goldberg leaving, I could see the match being more entertaining. Either way, I am just glad it was short.

The minor disappointment was "dead man" undertaker coming back in his "american badass" clothes. That was lame - he needed to move more methodically and dress like the old undertaker. But in spite of that, the match was still good.

Overall, I felt the best match on the card, and the one that really surprised me, was Jericho and Christian. I expected the Trish heel turn at the end, heck, I even knew it would be an angle where "Trish likes it rough", but the quality of the match before that reminded me of Steamboat-Savage, and was definitely impressive in its intensity, ring psychology, and mat presence. I expected the triple threat and Angle-Guerrero to be good (and how Eddie retained the belt was priceless! I laughed my *** off!), but Jericho-Christian stole the show for me. Even the fatal fourway tag matches were good.

Overall, given that no WM is ever perfect, and this one is a close as I have ever seen since 1985, I give it 4 out of 4 stars.

I enjoyed WMXX, and I felt that Madison Square Garden certainly gave Lesnar and Goldberg the hell they deserved. No one cares because Bill Goldberg's contract is up, and Lesnar pretty much sold out. Even the announcers had to say something about it.

back when i used to watch it was the WWF (what does WWE stand for?) and we had Hulk Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage when he wore really colorful stuff and the Undertaker looked like his name suggests and not a biker... back then it was more fun and original these days it's everyone doing the same exact thing

I don't know if everyone is doing the exact same thing now , but I know what you mean - I tired of the "John Smith vs Peter Johnson" matches too.

But if you give the stuff now a chance, it is starting to make its way around again.

SO its ok for you to see a movie with people just playing pretend, as long as you don't see it live???

I never understood the "duh, its fake!" argument.

Wrestling storylines have been admitting they have been scripted since the mid-nineties... *calls for a GBK timeline grid*

I mean, if you don't like soap opera for guys (pro wrestling), that's fine, but to say its fake is stupid, considering almost all entertainment is just as "fake".

Yeah Rock got his rear handed to him, but he successfully helped put Evolution over as a solid team even more -- Foley couldn't do that with Orton by himself, they needed some active talent (aside from falling off buildings/cages) to give him a beating and end up losing in the end. The IC Title hasn't been defended in weeks and I think its just going to end up like the World Title has been held in the past year- by one guy only.

I agree its too bad about Rock and Sock, I would have loved to see them win, but it doesn't matter that much. Watching Rock and Flair work in the ring together made it memorable, despite Flair's decaying in-ring condition. Enough proof that Rock can work with just about anybody and pull off a great match.

I'm a big Shawn Michaels fan. His match with Chris Jericho last year ruled. I didn't get to see this Wrestlmania, but I will probably still be impressed when I watch the replay later. Anyway, anybody else think Brock would be a good Rhino in a Spiderman movie?

And WWE stands for World Wrestling Entertainment since they lost the lawsuit to the World Wildlife Fund.

What an idiot! He doesn't think he's gonna be travelling alot (if not more) if he joins a pro football team??

he will, but compare once a week for 16 weeks, to over 200 dates in different cities a year.

HUGE difference.

1) Who cares what you think?
2) I find the WWE entertaining the same as I would find a video game entertaining because guess what alot of stuff is fake out there.
3) STFU!

It's funny, all wrestling really is, is THE guy's version of the soap operas. Only wrestling is testostorone(sp?) injected with built up bad attitude guys and, of course, beautiful built up women who grace the covers of one of he most popular magazines around: Playboy. What guy wouldn't see that kind of trash, no matter how fake the wrestling is?

Good point. It's obviously fake b/c the storylines are so predictable. I watch smackdown occasionally, and I can't stand that little b**** paul heyman. (i'm too cheap to pay to see raw on cable)

Indeed. Keep in mind, while the storylines are preplanned (they even admit to this, so to act like they are still pretending the storylines are real is passe'), the moves they do DO hurt sometimes, and are risky. There are guys who wrestle with worse injuries than a NFL player on IR. Pro Wrestling is very physically demanding, and the punishment these guys put themselves through to entertain us is amazing.

And anyone who says the moves are fake, needs to look up Darren Drozdoff, look up the injuries Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Edge, and Mick Foley have sustained, and watch the documentary "Behind the Mat."

Guys do get hurt in that ring, and fairly often.

I have a video of a wrestler jumping from the top rope and doing a kick on some guy... he lands with all of his body weight on one leg.... his lower leg snaps in half like a twig, it looks HARSH.

and really... people who bash wrestling... can't you see the sense of fun and sarcasm about it, most the overacting and rubbish in the story is there to take the piss out of themselves 99% of the time.
