Strange pain in my head.
2004-03-17, 10:00 PM #1
Right, so I was listening to some System of a Down, and I got up to get a drink. During my journey to the kitchen, I decided it would be fun to jump around like a fool to the delicious beat of Forest. Apon doing so, a strange pain hit me in my forhead, just above my left eye. I thought it was odd, and might have just been a once-off. So I started dancing again, only to realize that was a pretty stupid thing to do - the pain hit again, and it wasn't at all pleasant. I felt like I was going to collapse. I went into the bathroom to look in the mirror, to see if there was any sign of trauma.. there wasn't. But when I shook my head in a way as to say "Weird...", it hit again. And that time I'd only moved my head a little bit.
So I got my glass of milk and sat back down. After a while of sitting, I leant back in my chair to stretch. As I extended my arms and leaned back, the pain hit again.
The pain itself feels like it's inside my skull. It felt like when I moved my head, a clamp was being tightened on that part of my head.

However this is not the first time this has happened.. The previous times it happened was when I was just walking across the room, but I remember it hitting above my right eye last time... not the left.

So, what do you guys think? Blood clot? Government brain wave? Alien probe? I'm not really concerned, but I think it's pretty funky.

Probably fatigue. Get some rest, get away from your computer, try not to strain your eyes too much. If it persists for more than a few days, go see a doctor.

Yeah, get away from the computer and get a good night's sleep. I've had some painfully bad headaches before, they usually go away the next day.

If pain persists, consult a physician.

First, FOrest is a great song [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

As for the headaches, get some rest. Also, thrashing your head around isn't exactly going to make your head feel good.

But it's not a headache.. The pain subsides almost as soon as it appears. It was just a sudden sharp pain in my head. It's totally gone now. I can shake my head around like there's no tomorrow and it wont come back.

I've been sleeping fine, and I havn't at all been spending that much time in front of the computer. I would have been at the computer no longer than an hour when it hit today. It's like out of nowhere a brick hits your head, and then all of the sudden, it's gone..

Fatigue does weird things to you. I once had something similar, and sleeping made it go away. Sometimes I also get odd spasms in my right eye.

It's not nessessarily caused by the computer. It could be a number of factors you aren't even aware of putting strain on muscles behind your eye.

But I havn't been feeling tired or anything... All times this has occured it's been some time during the day. I'm fairly fit. And I've been eating well, too. Meh. Maybe I'm just stressed or something? Oh wells. Whatever doesn't kill me.

[ Just got it again. I was putting my TV remote on the chair next to me. No strain. And it's already gone, just as fast as it came. But I had only started listening to System of a Down again, just moments before putting the remote down... hrm.. ]

Well I meant more like fatigue of the muscle or body part in question, not just being tired.

as sadistic as this sound, it would be incredibly cool to be allergic to crappy music. especially if it was a common disease..

If most people were allergic to terrible music, would the RIAA be shut down for dealing in weapons of mass annoyance?

Should they be anyways? Discuss.

Actually, undesireable noise is concidered a form of pollution. You could shut down the RIAA on the basis that they`re destroying the environement [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

If I posted every time I had a strange pain, Massassi would be forced to ban me, or give me my own forum.

Anyone seen those genital herpes commercials? Kinda scary that things like that are so common that we actually have commercials about them.

I get quick jabbing pains in my head sometimes

Do you have sinus/allergy problems? That might cause some pain near the areas you described.

First off: System of a down > all, and Forest is by far the best song.

Secondly: Pain sucks.

Thirdly: Third...ly

Ok, you need to make a surgical insertion (s?) right over where the pain is happening. I'm betting the government hooked you up with a microchip to moniter your brainwaves.

Oh HAR HAR HAR. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

About half an hour or so before I went to bed last night, I was starting to feel a dull pain in my head, just like a little headache. But after I'd been in bed for probably 10 to 15 minutes, it'd gone away.

When I woke up today, I felt fine. It wasn't untill about 3pm, when I was watching the television, that I got it again. I couldn't see or think of any specific reason that it happened, apart from the fact that I'd streatched my body, like last night when it happened the second time. I don't know... It'd be nifty if I was Harry Potter. Hogwarts School Of Wizardry, here I come! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]
